Vice President, Commercial

Location: US (remote)
REPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and lead the execution of a commercial strategy for AnHeart’s oncology portfolio in the United States
- Assess and make recommendations on infrastructure needs to position AnHeart for commercial success and build a world class capability
- Lead primary and secondary commercial research efforts to inform internal strategic planning, as well as external messaging for investor relations and fundraising activities
- Lead the assessment of the market potential for development plans, incorporating competition, distribution, pricing and reimbursement considerations
- Lead the development of the financial business case for medicine commercialization in collaboration with the finance and business development/market intelligence teams
- Partner with Clinical, Medical Affairs and Corporate Affairs to create messaging platforms, communication plans and engagement activities to position our medicines for success and build strong external relationships
- Act as commercial lead in business development assessments in partnership with Business Development team
- Work with the executive team to provide commercial insight to inform the development of corporate priorities and participate in long-term strategy planning efforts
- Partner with commercial lead in China to ensure consistency of messages globally
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- 20-30% overnight travel required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Experience Level: 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations with commercial leadership positions of increasing responsibility.
- Experience in commercializing cancer medicines, with a knowledge and passion for precision oncology
- Experience in developing commercial strategy within the context of a small start-up transitioning from an R&D organization into a fully integrated commercial stage company
- Direct experience with pre-launch market access planning and strategy building; working knowledge of market access strategies including distribution, pricing and reimbursement
- Clear understanding of the development, regulatory and commercial aspects of oncology drug industry
- Strong leadership skills within commercial teams as well as the ability to work cross-functionally, motivate others and manage multiple responsibilities in a rapidly growing and evolving company
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of self-starting for successful outcomes
- Strong writing and presentation skills needed to clearly communicate commercial insights to executive team members, Board of Directors, and external partners
